History of Bellbrook
The City of Bellbrook was settled in 1816 and was named for one of its founders, Stephen Bell, who helped plat part of what is now the "old village" area. The second part of the city's name undoubtedly refers to the many local waterways including Little Sugarcreek, Sugarcreek and the Little Miami River which enhance the local scenery.
Bellbrock Park
Bellbrock Park is owned by the City of Bellbrook and managed by the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Park District. This beautiful park , located on North Main Street near the center of Bellbrook, is often mistakenly called "Bellbrook Park". Named for the Brock family who donated the land, this park was at one time the site of a natural mineral spring that attracted hundreds to the area.
Two lovely gazebos, a miniature bridge, sugar maple house, and the blacksmith shop adorn this park which is the central location for the annual Sugar Maple Festival.

Magee Park
This park is owned and operated by the Bellbrook - Sugarcreek Park District. Located on Little Sugarcreek Road, this quaint little park is nestled along the Little Sugar Creek and has been the site of hundreds of T-ball games where area youngsters got their first taste of swinging a bat over the years. This park was named for the Magee family that donated the land to the township for use as a park.
Eagleland
Eagleland, located behind Sugarcreek Elementary school on East South in downtown Bellbrook, shows that spirit and dedication are alive and well within the community. This 12,000 square foot park was built entirely by volunteers. Up to 350 volunteers worked in three shifts around the clock and completed construction in five days.
